Be accurate and clear
Share information you reasonably believe is true. Include dates, locations and a reliable source where possible. Clearly label rumours, estimates and unconfirmed information rather than presenting them as fact.
Respect privacy
Do not submit private contact details, home addresses, medical information or other personal information about someone else without a proper lawful reason. Do not use Leyland Whispers to identify or speculate about private individuals.
No harmful or unlawful content
We do not accept threats, harassment, discrimination, defamation, scams, impersonation, illegal content, deliberate misinformation or material that infringes another person’s copyright or other rights.
Businesses and promotions
Businesses must describe offers honestly and include important restrictions, dates and availability. Listings must not make misleading claims or disguise paid advertising as an independent recommendation. Sponsored placements will be identified clearly.
Events and community updates
Only submit events or updates you are authorised to promote. Organisers remain responsible for safety, permissions, ticketing, accessibility and changes. Tell us promptly if an event is cancelled or information becomes incorrect.
How moderation works
Submissions may be checked, edited for clarity, held for more information, declined, corrected, expired or removed. Approval does not mean that What’s Happening Leyland endorses a person, business, event or claim.
Reporting a concern
If you believe a listing is inaccurate, harmful or infringes your rights, email us with the page address and a short explanation. We will review it as soon as reasonably possible.
